St Pauls Cathedral Wedding Photography | Alison & Craig’s Wedding
It was very hot in the crypt of St Paul’s Cathedral and guests used their wedding programmes as fans to cool down, Craig suffered with a mixture of both heat and anticipation.
The heat was soon forgotten as trumpeter John MacDominic stood up to mark Alison’s arrival and played the Trumpet Tune by Henry Purell. Alison looked wonderful as she walked down the aisle on the arm of her father Neil, they were followed by bridesmaids Elinor & Inese who were wearing dresses made by Alison’s mum Kathleen.
They held there ceremony in a magnificent setting and to reach the crypt you have by pass the tombs of Admiral Nelson and The Duke of Wellington. The ceremony went very well – unfortunately we cannot show any images as photography was not allowed.
Alison & Craig left St Paul’s Cathedral in a white London Cab and their family & guests in Routemaster buses, it was a nice sight to see these classic vehicles outside the iconic St Paul’s Cathedral – a real London wedding. Whilst we took Alison & Craig’s portrait images on the Millennium Bridge their guests continued to the wonderful wedding venue The Athenaeum Club on the Pall Mall. The Athenaeum, founded in 1824 is a private members club and notable members have included Charles Dickens & Charles Darwin, 52 past and present members have won a Nobel Prize.
Welcome drinks were served in the Drawing Room that was reached by The Great Staircase and the wedding breakfast was held in the Coffee Room. 2 bands were booked for the evening entertainment. The best way to get everyone up on the dance floor and to have fun is to book a band for Ceilidh dancing (traditional Gaelic dancing from Ireland and Scotland) which is exactly what Alison & Craig did – it was excellent fun.
