One Embankment Wedding Photography | Genna & Seth’s Wedding

Genna & Seth had a wonderful Jewish wedding at the amazing wedding venue One Embankment situated underneath Waterloo Bridge on the North bank.
One Embankment built in 1902 was once a tram depot for the Kingsway Tramway Subway connecting the lines in the North & South and was abandoned in 1957, it was deserted for 50 years before becoming a restaurant and now a leading London event venue.

As soon as Genna & Seth saw One Embankment it reminded them of an Italian courtyard. They wanted it to feel romantic and magical. They loved the ideas of keeping it green, with rambling tress coming from the top of the mezzanine level to the floor, with only candles – and no white roses in sight!
Having previously visited One Embankment on a pre-wedding meeting we saw the venue before Genna & Seth’s creative team totally transformed it to their wishes – and it was amazing! Much help came from Genna’s mum Lannis whom Genna describes as an interior designer & superwomen! Who made their dream wedding come true – and party planner ‘extraordinaire’ Philip an organisation guru who made the day run smoothly.

Genna made a wonderful entrance on the arm of her father Garry, she poised at the top of the stairs took a deep breath and walked slowly down the staircase to the waiting Seth and the bedeking ceremony. They were both very moved.
Genna & Garry then proceeded to the Chuppah where Lannis & Seth’s parents Ellis & Susan were waiting for them. The 4 poles holding the Chuppah’s canopy were held by Genna’s brothers Justin & Declan, usher Simon and best man Ollie. Rabbi Yisroel Weisz from Hampstead Village Shul held the ceremony.

As soon as the ceremony finished they went straight into the Israeli dancing which was intensive, fast and good fun. The party had begun. Genna & Seth’s favourite festival is Wilderness held in the middle of a valley surrounded by tress – as the party got started, lasers, lighting and smoke managed to change their romantic forest into their own festival after party!

We are delighted to have now photographed 3 weddings for the same family, Seth’s sister’s wedding Kimberley & Lee and Seth’s uncle’s wedding Nicole & Ian.
